Mayaland Hotel and
Bungalows was the fist hotel built in
the astonishing Chichen Itza, designed
by Sylvanus G. Morley, head of the
Carnegie expedition that reconstructed
Chichen Itza. The hotel has a main
building with guestrooms and suites, and
50 bungalows built in a rustic Mayan
style scattered around 100 acres of
tropical vegetation and gardens. The
Yucatecan hospitality and the old
fashioned charm is a legacy of the
original owners who built and have
operated the hotel since the 20s.
Mayaland Hotel and Bungalows has 55
rooms and 5 suites in its main building,
in addition to several individual, dual
and triple unit villas scattered around
exotic gardens. The villas have large
shaded terraces and verandas.
Mayaland
Hotel and Bungaolows is located in
the heart of the archaeological park, with
its own entrance to the Maya temples.
